RAF G-Type cloth flying helmet, size 2 (medium) with Amplivox throat microphone.

The G-Type cloth helmet came into operation in the 1960's and was originally used as an inner helmet for the Mk1 hard helmet, but was later used standalone in aircraft such as the Vulcan Bomber.

It offered no protection, but provided warmth, housed ear piece recievers and provided connection points for oxygen masks/googles.

The electrics have been tested and are fully functional. However, this is being sold as a display item only.
