This is a pilot seat made by Avro, the manufacturers of the iconic WW2 Lancaster bomber.
This particular model made in the 1960's would have been used on troop carriers such as the Hawker Siddeley HS 748.
It has been professionally refurbished and adapted to include a seat cushion.
The height adjustment and seat-back tilt mechanism are fully operational.
