Small fragment of a tubular lead seal, characteristic of the bag seals used by weavers.

Dated to around 1700 AD.

The letters OR above W are visible, indicating a probable origin in Norwich. These seals were typically affixed to fabric to signify quality.

Roman numerals on the reverse bordered by beading is likely to denote the production batch.
